Labor Day Sales!

I love holiday sales! Check out what I just bought on HauteLook.

It is a Laura Ashley Amberly quilt set.  The retail is $240.  It is on sale today for $90.  The toile-like print won me over with its simplicity and beauty.  The darker side is practical for Izzie rooting about in our bed to snuggle.

Although I have a Queen sized bed, I always order one size up.  One of my silly pet peeves is skimpy bed treatments.  Ordering a larger size allows complete coverage and easier bed making.

    Ha! Yes! Izzie is a gray and white Maltepoo who prefers her surroundings coordinate with her coloring.

    I am such a sucker for a sale too! I have bought one size up before too, it's really nice for coverlets to fully cover.

      Kerry, I wasn't even looking for a new bed treatment but the Sale mentality kicked in. Plus, I always justify it saying, 'I can use it to stage a house'. This one is going on my bed!

    That is such a great tip about ordering one size up. My dog is sleeping right by me as I type. Love the furry family members.

    Yes, Yes, one size up is the best kept secret!!!! Generally when a bed is featured with bedding for sale, the size has been moved up! That's what gives it the luxurious generous look!!!

      I think it is a good buy too, Patty. My bed treatment has to be virtually cast iron for Izzie and my blog 'office'.

    OMG Izzie is so cute Linda! I didn't get to do much shopping at all this weekend but was productive so its a trade off. So cool that you got such a deal on the Laura Ashley bedding. Such a great neutral too so you can mix it up with any coloured sheets whenever you like. Yay Hardwood!! Pics please:)

      Thanks Nicole. Izzie is my love. Cowboy surprised me with her a few years ago--it was love at first site! You were very productive over the weekend. I guess, sitting in bed, placing an order kinda-sorta qualifies as getting something accomplished. You got me thinking about sheet colors....

    I couldn't agree more! I can't stand bedding that is short on the sides ... but when you already have a king-sized bed, it is tough!!!

      Yes, Traci King's are tough. I get creative with layering coverlets. Is a California King much larger than a King?

      HauteLook gets too much of my money! I try not to open my daily emails about specials. New roofs are NO FUN. I like to spend money on pretty stuff--not roofs or car repairs.
