As mentioned in my last post, I am gathering fabrics and resources for redecorating my living room. The living room sofa needed pictures for selling on CraigsList.
Here, a picture with a bed pillow, shows that the sofa is deep enough for sleeping. (I am a hopeless stager.)
This picture shows CraigsList folks it is a brand name piece of furniture. (Former career in Sales and Marketing.)
I was moving a painting behind it to get a better 'full frontal' of the sofa when I happened to scanned the tall cathedral ceiling wall. Little Linda (inside my head) said, 'that would make a great gallery wall'. I immediately started hunting and gathering from every room in my house: water colors of the beach, oils of landscapes and flowers and an abstract of a 'blue man', a pencil drawing of a beautiful nude, and pastels of New England scenery.
Hmmmmm..... don't you agree reinventing a space is much more economical!
Later,
Linda
Constantly reinventing. It's what I do BEST! Love Henredon and yours!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Gallery looks marvy, girl!! And I was told when we had our 1968 Henredon recovered last year that it would go another 40 years! Who ever gets it will get a gem!
I thought of you when I was hanging my pictures. I've noticed you have a great collection of art...maybe a gallery wall is in your future. (Decided not to sell the Henredon beast for now.) You are a master at reinventing!
DeleteI love your Gallery wall. I capital L loved them so much that before I knew there was one in the master, one in the hall and one in the living room. I gotta get a grip. I am sure I will find another design obsession soon:) Any suggestions? And hey, thanks for your nice comments today on my room, that meant allot!
ReplyDeleteYour office was to die for. In a word JEALOUS. You did an amazing job. Thanks so much for your thumbs up on the gallery wall! I think there is another in my future....
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! I always end up putting a million holes in the wall when I put up a gallery wall, even when I try to use paper cut-outs first.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! You have a gazillon walls in your house for gallery walls. I think the holes are just part of it. Again, congrats on your living room!
DeleteI totally agree! I love to makeover a space with what I have and make it fresh with color or a change of fabric! Great job on the gallery wall!
