You Name Your Kid and Your Pet---Hey, Why Not Your House?

I love that beach houses have names.  Names tell a story deeper than the address.  Houses with names tell you a bit about the owner's personality.  Not good for selling but fun for a vacation house.

I'm one of those folks that names my car and house.  Our house was christened "Casa Beam" since before we moved in back in '96. (No, I don't have a carved sign with Casa Beam by the front door!)

What about you?  Does your abode sport a name?

Happy Friday, y'all!

Linda

  1. I need a name for my studio! There are local artists nearby even that can make me a sign :)

    1. Oh yes, Maria, you have to name your new studio! (Maria's Destiny? The Love Shack? Rainbow Bend? LOL!) Get your family, friends and readers involved in naming it--it will be fun! xx Linda

  2. My beach house is named Birds of a Feather because My family is upstairs and my sisters family is downstairs. I name my car too Linda. It is a white volvo and her name is Coco Chanel!

    1. Ooooh, I love Birds of a Feather. And, Coco Chanel for your white Volvo-perfection! My car is a Lincoln MXK. Her name Magnolia but she goes by Maggie. Her color is Creme Brulee but I think it is the color of a Magnolia Blossum (it's a Southern Thing.) My husband had a Lincoln first. I named his car ABE (thought I was clever.) Thanks telling me you name things too!!!

  3. I have a wooden sign on my house "Villa Frasca" - not the most creative but it works!
