Feast Your Eyes on this Dining Room Staging

The Dining Room was my favorite transformation of the house. We painted Benjamin Moore's HC-115 Georgian Green above the chair rail.  Love me some Georgian Green! It is a bright, vibrant green that lends life to a room. Gone are the days of keeping paint colors 'Builder's beige' for selling.

I made a centerpiece to pick up the rose colors in the rug border and incorporate them with the crimson used throughout the rest of the house. The tapestry runner anchors the centerpiece and adds texture.

I love little details like placing tassels on handles of the china cabinet.

The back wall sports jumbo abstracts of a gold apple and pear. The accent colors are a great blend of rose to rust.  A gilded apple and pear were staged in the kitchen to connect the rooms.

A canvas of wild roses is displayed between the windows. I love the vintage look near the contemporary apple and pear.
The AFTER and BEFORE Comparison

Oh yeah, I took out two of the side chairs to create the illusion of more space. Buyers are smart. It is easy for them to figure out they can add more chairs to the table.

I love my job.

Happy Friday, y'all!

  2. Green goes with anything! It makes the room pop. If the new owners don't like it, painting above the chair rail is a small, inexpensive and easy job. As always, thank you so much for commenting.

  3. Great...color can be just what the doctor ordered! Builder's beige is so old and "dirty" looking!

  7. The color is so nice! That is something coming from me since I am not a huge fan of green. The tree in the corner is a nice balance too.

  8. Thanks Kerry! Yes, the tree in the corner does balance the china cabinet. Love, love, love that you noticed!
