It's S.A.D.D. but I'm Baaaaack!

THANK YOU for your support during my recent respite from blogland. I missed ya soooo much! The sun has finally shone and the rains stopped.  Could I have fallen victim of SADD?

Nuff o That
I'm back and I've been shopping!  Retail therapy works wonders.  I have an upcoming staging and needed some contemporary accessories to marry with the sellers traditional ones.

Look at these YUMMY candlesticks--well, they ain't 'sticks'. They are big and curvy (like moi!).  The sculptural lines make my heart sing. They are not screaming-school-bus yellow but ooh-la-laa-notice-me-yellow-GLOSS-tastic!
Scored this pillow, too.  Can you see the raised design? That lusty big ole red bloom is what sold me.

You know I am a lamp  freak. These big boys whistled at me!  Love their clean lines and brushed nickel accents.
In the words of Tina Turner, red is "simply the best, better than all the rest". Look at these sexy Chinese Red lacquered boxes! I couldn't stop at one.  Two is much more fun.

  1. Glad you are feeling better. I get the blahs badly every February. Spring has a way of making everything better,,,especially once the Dodgers start playing :)

Lovely finds...love those yellow pillars and red boxes!

  3. Nothing like a little retail therapy cure the late winter blahs. We're still getting hit with Old Man Winter and it's hard to get excited about spring right now. A couple of days of warm temps ( in the 40s) and sunshine will cure whatever ails me.

Love those candlesticks! Can't wait to see the project finished.

    Glad you're back!!!!

  4. Love your finds Linda. You must have been to Home Goods! I saw the lacquered box there that I sadly passed up and when I went back it was gone.. Do you personally buy all the items you stage with? You must have a storage space? How about major furnishings? Sorry if youve stated all this in a post. You can send me a link!

    1. I buy everything for staging. I have a studio behind my house and rented storage space. I only stage with accessories and small furniture. I could never get the numbers to work for storage space, movers, etc. for large furniture. I DO need to write a post about that. Thanks Nancy. Yes, the boxes came from Home Goods!
