The Happiness Quotient

Y'all Are the Best!
Happy Monday y'all!  First of all, thanks mucho for the support on the liar-liar-pants-on-fire realtor post. Your comments were a soothing salve to my battered soul. I feel like a million bucks today.

This Week's Intentions
I'm going into this week with a set of intentions. These intentions are not monumental but accomplishing them will contribute to my happiness quotient.

Do something for someone else.
  • Send flowers to my 83 YO ex-in-laws who are going through medical problems.

Do something unexpected for my husband.
  • Put a I-love-you-note in his lunch.

Do something for business.
  • Devote one hour each day to preparing a presentation.

Do something for me.
  • Schedule my mammogram.

What intentions can you set for the week that will contribute to your Happiness Quotient?

Let's make it a week of fulfilled intentions!
Linda

  2. I always start the week with good intentions and then nothing ever comes of them. My intentions this week are getting to last week's intentions! :)

    1. I completely get it! I thought giving a voice to them would motivate me to action....I'm going to try.

  3. I scheduled 3 Dr. appointments today. Once the kids go back to school, I start thinking about myself.

    1. You are such a busy lady, Linda. Good for you for scheduling those Dr. appointments. You need to treat yourself to something special this week.

  4. Glad you're feeling better and that you are not letting this person bring you down! Intentions - aren't Mondays just for that, making intentions. Mine include getting back on my diet. I'm stuck at a certain weight and can't seem to get below it - so I think I'm going to need to get exercising a bit more too.

But thanks for sharing your intentions - it makes me think about what little things I can do to increase the happiness quotient in our house - treats in my hubby' lunch, a quiet dinner together, some tomatoes for my neighbours.

    1. Great intentions, Heather. I always say 'baby steps'--that's why I call them intentions instead of goals--less daunting! Dieting simply sucks. Maybe try going meatless one day or a couple of nights a week? It really helps me AND doesn't feel like deprivation. Hunt's tomato sauce with veggies over whole wheat pasta is tres delicious and filling. Plain tomato sauce has less than half the calories of the stuff in a jar.
